Delicious Refined Sugar-Free Paleo Granola

Posted by Riannon Page on

Unfortunately, majority of the packaged cereals, muesli mixes and granola you find on the shelves are PACKED with sugar, even the healthy ones! It’s extremely hard to find a packet with the sugar content under 5g per serve, some even making their way up to 15g per one serve! This is a huge amount of sugar to be eating first thing in the morning with likely little to no protein, which will set the tone for your blood sugar and cortisol for the rest of the day – hello afternoon slump, sugar cravings & unhappy hormones! Don’t worry, we have you cereal lovers covered with this easy to make low refined sugar, high protein paleo granola.

Hemp seeds are a great to sprinkle on salads, yogurt or mix into your home-made granola. They are particularly rich in healthy fats including omega 6 and omega 3 both which are known to support the production of healthy hormones and reduce inflammation. Hemp seeds are also a great source of protein, 2-3 tbsp of hemp seeds contain around 11grams of protein! These seeds are a very easy way to get more protein into your diet which is supportive of energy production and hormone balance.

  • 1 cup almonds chop roughly.
